First Full Day in Haiti - Water Truck // Mother Teresa's // Sakala

Our first full day in Haiti...and what a day it was! We woke up, had breakfast and got ready to head out. Everyone piled into the tap-taps and we were off to watch the water trucks get filled. Once our trucks were filled, we headed to Area 17 and an area called "4 Coffins" and helped deliver water to those who don't have access to it. We also took tours of Hope School, Hope Clinic, and the Innovation Lab. It was AMAZING to see what a difference Healing Haiti is making in this country! AMAZING!

We got back to the base and had a short time to clean up, eat lunch and get ready for our afternoon serving times. Amy, Savannah, Maya, Sue, Justin, Aphton, Kate and Jen went to Mother Teresa's home for sick and dying children. They fed, held and loved on babies; what a blessing it was to show the love of Jesus to those precious children.

Shannon, Annette, Lydia, Jenny, Lauren, Abe, Josh, Craig and Corrina spent the afternoon at Sakala - a community center for kids; they have a library for the kids and areas to create crafts, play chess, soccer, ping pong, and basketball.

Tonight we ate "Haitian hotdish" for supper (yum!) and everyone answered the question, "what is one of your favorite family traditions?" We gathered for team time, worshiped and shared stories about our wonderful day. We all feel blessed to be here and give glory to God for His presence!
